Hi and Welcome!

My name is Julia and I’m an intern here at Inner Growth Counseling as I finish my Master of Social Work degree from UNC Chapel Hill. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment for you to show up authentically as you process your feelings and experiences.

I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults, focusing on trauma, anxiety, depression, and developmental disorders. I’m LGBTQIA+ allied and value walking alongside people as they discover their unique selves. I use a mixed methods approach, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), somatic practices, and solution-focused techniques. I also incorporate creativity and movements into our sessions, adding humor and fun to our work!

As a person-centered, strengths-based therapist, I believe you have the power and courage to heal, grow, and thrive. I’m dedicated to not only helping you notice the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, but also build skills that can transform your life. I’ll work collaboratively with you on your goals, as you journey toward self-understanding and well-being.
